National Crittenton is bidding a bittersweet farewell to Senior Vice President of Operations, Consuelo Saragoza at the end of June, as she embarks on retirement. She kindly reflected on her time at National Crittenton and passes along the following message:
Almost two years ago I joined the National Crittenton staff. The staff was working feverishly preparing for the inaugural In Solidarity We Rise convening. What I was struck with, as I observed and helped, was the attention, caring, and design of appropriate sessions and speakers so that the young women, primarily, attending the conference would receive the best of the best. These past two years (almost) have been full of learning, listening and yes – heartache at times – of the continued treatment and disparities that young women continue to face. I do have hope and know that my colleagues, whom I will be saying “see you later” to at the end of June, will continue to work diligently, skillfully, and adeptly to disrupt the continued dialogue, stated vocally or not, of how young women are treated and viewed. I feel I have come full circle with National Crittenton the past two years, leaving post In Solidarity We Rise 2019. Again, I am grateful and have enjoyed the best humor of any group of women I have known!
Again, sigue adelante!
