Becoming a mom changed my life at the moment I needed it the most, it gave me a purpose and the determination to be better. Throughout my childhood and teenage years I learned how to survive and be resilient. I normalized and laughed off my traumatic experiences. This was easy because I was always surrounded by people who were surviving in hard environments. After surviving so much childhood trauma I naturally wanted to pursue a career and life where I could fight for justice. This has been a journey and it has helped me see myself and my family with a new worldview. I learned that you cannot fight for love, transformational relationships, and justice if you don’t start by fighting for that in your own family and home. Being a mom has helped me with my own healing and taught me how to give and receive unconditional love. As a young mother I have had the freedom to explore, use my imagination and learn to play and be creative.
